Boot sale bounty

Well, I had a stroke of luck at the boot sale yesterday. I've been looking for some larger cloches for a while, and just as it started to rain yesterday at the fair, I spied these!
They are just over a metre long, and half a metre wide.
I shall now get to, and make two long planters from some decking so that I can have a couple of raised beds next year.
I'm so looking forward to that.

Have a great bank holiday Monday. I'm off to another boot fair this morning, and the sun is shining!

  1. I have one of these, and use it over my little pots, on gravel, with a generous sprinkling of coffee grounds around to keep the slugs away. Works a treat! Fmx

  3. WOW! What great purchases! You must be thrilled. May I ask how much you haggled them down to?

Great photo of little Jake too.

  4. That's a most useful buy- we could do with something like that for our little garden.

  5. I bought them both for £10.00. They were asking £6.00 each. I wasn't really sure how much they are to buy new, but I still think I have a bargain!
